Let's dress the part and dance with style!
At Flava Dance Academy, we believe that when you look the part, you feel the part! Our dress code helps students stay safe, confident, and ready to slay the dance floor. Here's how to show up looking like a Flava star:
Dress Code
Salsa/Bachata
Girls: A solid Black leotard any style, red skirt, Tan Salsa Shoes, Hair slicked back into a bun or ponytail
Boys: Black T-shirt and Black gym shorts or sweats, black jazz shoes
Hip Hop
Tops and Bottoms Dancers Choice. Black high top Converse required
Ballet
Girls: A Black Solid Leotard any style, pink/tan/skin tone convertible tights, pink or skin tone ballet shoes, and hair slick back into a neat bun
Boys: A Black Sweats or gym shorts, white T-shirt, black ballet shoes
Contemporary/Jazz
Girls: A Black Solid Leotard any style, pink/tan/skin tone convertible tights, Tan or black jazz shoes, and hair slick back into a neat bun or ponytail
Boys: A Black Sweats or gym shorts, Black T-shirt, black jazz shoes
Acro
Girls: A Black Solid Leotard any style, Black Leggings, Hair slicked back into a ponytail or bun
Boys: A Black Sweats or gym shorts, Black T-shirt

Tiny Tot Ballet
Girls: A Black Solid Pink Leotard any style, pink/tan/skin tone convertible tights, pink or skin tone ballet shoes, and hair slick back into a neat bun
Boys: A Black Sweats or gym shorts, white T-shirt, black ballet shoes

No Necklaces, bracelets, watches or rings should be worn in class. Only stud earrings are allowed for dancer’s safety. If your dancer needs extra support, please make sure they have a black or skin tone sports bra under their leotard.
